GTA6 Release On Course, According to CEO

Fans of the Grand Theft Auto series have been a bit stressed. A number of delays and leaked news items over the past year have created an unsettling consideration: GTA6 may be an ultra-delayed game. But that isn’t so, at least according to one higher up who intends to set the record straight.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has been making the interview rounds to let stockholders know that all is fine with the GTA6’s launch date. Zelnick says that he and Rockstar Games are highly confident that it will release in the Fall of 2025. Although he doesn’t dismiss the possibility that there could be delays, however he says that Take-Two is doing every thing they can to make sure it’s released on time.

Zelnick also avoids giving any clues about the game, but he says that the trailer that was released already gives some hints about what to expect.

But Zelnick wasn’t just talking GTA6’s release date.

He says that the mobile market is the fastest growing segment of the interactive entertainment business. He says that Take-Two’s acquisition of Zynga in 2022 was motivated by this growth, and he highlights the success of Zynga’s new game, Match Factory, as evidence that the mobile market is still healthy.

Looking to the future, Zelnick also says that the interactive entertainment business is still in its early stages of growth.

He points out that the average age of a gamer is 37, and he says that this demographic will continue to grow in the coming years.
